Gek Gek, the unique gecko brooch

Meet Gek Gek :)

This gorgeous gecko has been captured here in hand-assembled, laser-cut acrylic with hand-painted features and coated in a layer of resin. Gek Gek measures 5.5 x 8cm and is 6mm thick. Every colour combination is unique*, with colour mixes including silver, red, orange, green, and gold glitter, deep blue foil, purple shimmer, black marble, crocodile (a combination of gold, green, and black shimmery swirls), kaleidoscope (coloured foil pieces), and autumn shards (a shiny golden orange on a black background).

Custom Geks are available. You can pick your own colour combination - it cannot be the same as any other made. Please talk to me before ordering so that I can ensure that the colourway you want is available and possible.

Designed, cut, and hand-assembled in Australia or New Zealand, depending on where I'm living at the time. I work hard to ensure that each brooch is to a high quality and in a condition I would wear, but given that each item is handmade, please be aware that there may be slight imperfections due to variations in acrylic thickness, fiddly pieces, and the nature of glue and resin. These imperfections are part of the charm of handmade jewellery. You'll walk away knowing you're wearing my art, and only a limited number of people can do the same.

Maintenance: Acrylic is a hardy plastic, but can break if dropped or get scratched. Scratches can occur during the manufacturing process of the acrylic or assembly of the design, but these aren't noticeable in most lights. This particular piece has small segments which are more fragile than bigger designs. Handle with care and your brooch will last a lifetime :)

SHIPPING:
Orders are sent with tracking. Domestic post in NZ is possible (pieces in Australia will need to be shipped to NZ with other parcels, so there will be a delay; if you want to receive your item sooner, please cover international shipping costs). Orders can be sent internationally. Any additional taxes must be paid by the buyer at customs. Items will be posted within 2-3 weeks. Whimsy and Logic is committed to keeping our environmental impact to the minimum possible so we re-use packaging we got from our own purchases. Minimising packaging helps to keep postage costs down for everyone :) However, your item will be carefully protected to do its best to survive postage. Whimsy and Logic is not responsible for Australia Post, but we hope they do their best to make sure your parcel arrives, and in the condition in which we posted it.
