A mother's love - LIMITED

They may not be the most beautiful or colourful primates, but chimpanzees are our closest cousins. When we witness a mother chimp caring for her child, we see ourselves. We see that a mother's love is universal. The species barrier, the animal versus the human, is gone. We just see a parent. That's beautiful. Did you know chimp mums might nurse their babies for up to 5 years? Mother chimps are particularly close to their sons, who stay in their natal group for most if not all of their lives. Mothers will defend and support their sons as they find their place in the hierarchy. A gorgeous bond and I wanted to capture that with this tender interaction.

Designed, cut, and hand-assembled in Australia and New Zealand. I work hard to ensure that each piece is to a high quality and in a condition I would wear, but given that each item is handmade, please be aware that there may be slight imperfections due to variations in acrylic thickness, fiddly pieces, and the nature of glue and resin. These imperfections are part of the charm of handmade jewellery. You'll walk away knowing you're wearing my art, and only a limited number of people can do the same.

Maintenance: Acrylic is a hardy plastic, but can break if dropped or get scratched. Scratches can occur during the manufacturing process of the acrylic or assembly of the design, but these aren't noticeable in most lights. Handle with care, avoid perfumes and sunscreens, and your brooch will last a lifetime :)

Any additional taxes must be paid by the buyer at customs. If you're in NZ, please note that if you want a piece held in Australia, I can do domestic post but there will be a delay of a couple of months until I'm getting enough things sent to me to cover the cost of international post. Whimsy and Logic is committed to keeping our environmental impact to the minimum possible so we may re-use packaging we got from our own purchases. Minimising packaging helps to keep postage costs down for everyone :) Your item will be carefully protected to do its best to survive postage.
